This video is from a 7 part series on the www.shiftinaction.com website. It is from a dialogue between Dr. Fred Luskin, who holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Health Psychology from Stanford University where he served as director of the Stanford Forgiveness Project, and Rev. Lyndon Harris, a chaplain at St. Paul's Chapel in lower Manhattan, next to Ground Zero. In the dialogue, taped in front of a live audience, they discuss the definition and learned skills of forgiveness and gratitude.

In this segment, Dr. Luskin and Rev. Harris discuss how science is an acceptable language in the 21st century. They explore some results in forgiveness research.

  • The bible is full of truth mixed in with agenda driven divisive control mechanisms. Forgiveness is not exclusive to biblical dogma, but is inherent in the reality of LOVE. To think in religious terms is an out of date paradigm. Lets focus on unity and love not religious dogma that divides. Religions have poisoned the human race

  • Dyamarick,

The same way we have gone about answering every other question since the beginning of time: not considering fairy tales.

  • Fred Luskin is your uncle?

  • I'm right there with you. I hate how it seems like so many ppl take a religious stance to make ppl feel better its like because I am an atheist, I don't deserve to be happy. and I think that is horrible and cruel.

  • You would be helped by studying the religions and the Bible. Only one 'religion' has a risen saviour. Only one has a resurrection, a historical reality. Only one has a forgiveness for sin but it's based on faith in a risen Saviour, not human effort. This will not go out of date until Christ returns. Have you reviewed the evidence for the resurrection? This might be very interesting to you.

  • How can the dicussion of forgiveness exclude the Biblical perspective?

  • ( the first one)

  • THAT'S MY UNCLE!!! :D
