Yea, I'm a Dem. However, I do certainely admire and respect Mr McCain's service to this country. I firmly believe that we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now if he'd of been the Rep nominee in 2000.
But this is one of those perfect "gotcha" moments!

He's running bc the republicans needed someone strong to run against clinton/obama. he is by far the best canidate in '08. its funny, as old as he is, he still has more common sense than his democratic rivals. Dems should be so happy the republicans nominated not only someone who works with the dems to come to a compromise, but actually almost left the rep. party and became a democrat.

He won the primary because he did what he always does in his campaigns -- lied through his teeth about what he stands for, and lied through his teeth about what his opponent stands for.
Fortunately the general electorate is not likely to be quite as gullible as the Republican base.
