Afghanistan is still being burnt, divided, and thrown on the scrap heap of a large pile of U.S-led, imperial plundering. Australian artist Van Thanh Rudd displays a part of a used car from Afghanistan at OfftheKerb's front gallery.

The object on display was part of an Afghan family car targeted by ISAF forces in southern Afghanistan, in the year 2009.

The family car was hit by advanced military hardware developed by a French multinational company called THALES.

THALES has a military hardware factory in Bendigo, Victoria.

Australian Defense Industries is now owned by THALES and currently has billions of dollars worth of contracts with the Australian Defense Force.

THALES, along with Telstra and the Commonwealth Bank are major sponsors of Legacy Australia

Van is a member of The CEOs (collective engagement operatives) and A-17P (artists of the 17th Parallel)
