@Thundralight 1) We have no idea what these "machines" would "be thinking". Everything is speculation and i don't agree with much.

2) What he is suggesting is that their intelligence would be so vast compared to ours, we would be nothing in comparison.

Whether that would actually matter to them, again, is up for debate. ;)

Maybe they will be morally superior to us also, and will treat us much better than we would treat an inferior race of people or, to be historically accurate, better than we treat each other when we can make ourselves believe that the other nationality, race, whatever is inferior.

Using the movie The Matrix as an example, us creating that machine that kills us or tries to kill us... Is in itself evolution... We die? So be it ... The machine will live on and that's what matters. We as humans are to fragile , we die! Machines don't. The moment they can sustain themselves and evolve on their own, then it's on, and we better join the bandwagon for it is our only hope. Simply as humans we won't survive much longer.
