yeah, I think muay thai has changed a lot. Muay thai in Thailand today is not the same as it was, there's alot of western boxing influence. That's the difference from modern muay thai and Pradel Serey...and Muay thai in Holland and U.S. is different from Muay thai in Thailand. I like Lethwei and Pradel serey because you are taught to use headbutts and slams which is lacking in modern Muay thai, but the roundhouse kick for muay thai is different from PradelSerey. yeah, there are. Different regions of Thailand does muay thai a little differently. I was taught muay thai and it looks a lot different from the ones I've seen on tv, but they all call it muay thai.

I study muay thai at master toddys in vegas..and i've noticed most if not all of the root words or major techniques we use in muay thai are really khmer words with no true meaning in thai lol when i ask my kru he looks at me all crazy...lol

Kun Khmer, is the original, muay thai just stole it. So you can say muay thai just branched off of Kun Khmer. The difference between Kun Khmer and Muay Thai, is that Kun Khmer is more elsusive and tends to use more elbows, while Muay Thai uses more knees. But in the end, Kun Khmer is better. But The REAL original is Bokator, also cambodia' style. A soldiers art to kill. Kun Khmer and Muay Thai are modified for sports. So everytime you see a muay thai guy training,remember its actually bokator.
