The Righteous Brothers - I Believe

I believe for every drop of rain that falls
A flower grows,
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night
A candle glows,
I believe for everyone who goes astray,
Someone will come to show the way,
I believe, I believe.

I believe above the storm a smallest prayer
Will still be heard,
I believe that someone in the great somewhere
Hears every word,
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why,
I believe.

  • Someone very dear to me died this morning. I've been playing Bobby Hatfield's "I Believe" all day trying to ease the un-easable pain. It helps. Thank you Bobby for leaving it behind and Rest in Peace.

  • RIP to my older brother who died at the age of 6. This song was played at his funeral. Love you Dion!

  • The beautiful voice of Bobby Hatfield can make you cry.

  • Streisand does an amazing version of this like it's a prayer. Great lyric.

  • This song was such a big part of y childhood(which was sad in many ways) but I would listen to The Bachelors sing it & I heard hope! this was in the early 1960s.
