So my twisted theory is that the popularity of The Sidewinder caused Lee Morgan to record this record, but Lee had so many projects that he basically wanted to crank out a couple of boogaloo tracks and left the B side for Shorter to lead.
What I find interesting (this is one of my top 10 favorite albums) is that this track is paired on the same side as Rumproller -according to iTunes at least. Both have nearly identical grooves creating a weird ABA between all three tracks on side one of the vinyl.
