There are no Tajiks in China. These are not Tajik people but Sarikoli people. Their language (Sarikoli) belongs to the Iranian group, but it isn't Tajik and isn't mutually intelligible with Tajik. In China, the Sarikoli people have been lumped together with the Wakhi (or Wakhan) people under the incorrect label "Tajik" as one of the officially recognized minorities (among many more minorities in realities).
