I clicked on this video because I recognized the Mk 5 GTI interior in the thumbnail. Awesome car. I just bought an 07 GTI in January and I'm in love with the car. I got DSG which is great but I still miss driving a manual. Great video btw :)

i always thought i had to be fast going from clutch to gas so i would push the gas alot and let out the clutch real fast so i dont stall well i drove an automatic for a while and i had to relearn to drive the 5 speed mustang i have now i find it alot easier to learn by letting out the clutch till the rpms start to drop while holding the brake once the tach starts dropping let off the brake give it gas to about 1000-1300rpm and just slowly let out the clutch much easier for me and works on hills

For a second, I thought James Franco was doing this review. Lmao!! He is the main character in the movie "127 hours". The dude in this video looks just like him from a side profile.
Fellow VW owner here as well, although I drive an Audi A3. ( GTI in a tuxedo) LOL!

Awesome car. I have a 08 GTI I got the DSG tho, sometimes I wish I got the 6 speed. But I have a mk1 with a 5 speed so it's all good. Great video.

Great video, fellow GTI owner and completely agree manual is way more fun but if you live in a busy city auto is more practical. Had a DSG R32 and in traffic thing was very jerky in changing gears at times.

@TheFaaez Every gear shift is different, but 1st to 2nd is higher than other shifts as the gear ratio is the highest in the gearbox.

This video helped me clear up things I didn't understand. It is a very good tutorial.
