Deforestation causes climate change in any language.
When trees in the rainforest are chopped down and destroyed, the carbon they store is released into the atmosphere. This contributes to global warming. So the fate of the rainforests affects us all, no matter where in the world we come from, or where we live.

  • Duh Forget the CO2 - The REAL problem is Bare Earth Heating or land based heat island effects -consider that with deforestation most solar energy no longer goes into evapotranspiration or the massively energy hungry water cycle.!!

By removing 70% of the vegetation on the land surface the planet no longer absorbs/converts solar energy into transporting billions of tonnes of water into the upper atmosphere
