Great fight despite all the tactical blunders committed by Lopez (primarily long periods where he didn't punch and not doing anything to block/slip Ike's jab). I guess when you have a jaw like solid steel like Lopez you can give yourself the luxuary of simply ignoring your opponents punches Too bad he forgot that Ike was racking up points with it.

Both these guys were beasts. Lopez had so much potential it aint even funny. Alittle defense woulda taken him much farther. That guy could punch with the best of them to bad he could be outboxed. It is boxing afterall. Ike one of the best jabs ever.

Ike had one of the most punishing jabs in the lower weight history. He never reached his true potential. Probably got caught up in chasing skirt or booze. The same with Lopez, probably a sucker for the tequilia. Both wasted talent.
