@riha85 Lived beyond their means? Go and tell that to the average Irish person who will tell you strait that they did not live beyond their means. They made the mistake of withdrawing from the pound to take up a euro currency which was created to choke smaller countries. Had they stayed part of the UK then the UK could have bailed them out internally without surrendering all to the EU.

Protection from what?? Only threats to Scotland are by the countries you poke with a stick. Considering Scots make up 14% of the Armed forces while barley making up 10% of the UK's population proving per head we'd instanly be better off and Scots make up nearly 50% of the Special Forces.
