I imagine they dub it with an accent in English because he speaks with an accent in Japanese. Not very silly, no, but I've never heard an English dub with a real German accent.

Yeah. The original bell pepper battle was chock full of negative comments about bell peppers. How much they were generally disliked and such. Odd.
