This is a 2000 astra mk4 coupe with an aftermarket exhaust system. The system is cat back, and consists of a sportex straight throught centre cection (or race tube as its also know as) and a peco oval stainless steel back box.
Also have a pipercross induction kit.

  • How much break do you think that will give an n/a tuned astra sri 1.8i 16v?

  • Hello I have the 2.2 astra G cab, how can I get this exhaust sound ?

    Thank you

  • sounds good with the peco back box im goin for a 1.8 coupe in about 6 months same reasons as you insurance etc but it'll be a rocket compared to my current corsa!

  • aah thats alright then :) Got myself a coupe turbo atm, but remember when i used to have my 1.4 astra i had the same set-up straight through centre section with backbox silenced and it was too drony! lol but it seems fine on the coupe. Just thought it might be because it's a n/a so loudness is always there maybe

  • It is indeed mate :) Changed it for the stainless Peco system i've got now as the piper was very raspy and not a lot of grumble for my liking!

Looking to change it again aswell lol

  • is your astra the one with the piper system?? that sounds much nicer!!

  • Nowt wrong with that mate! i'd be more than happy with a coupe regardless of the engine size, better than a 5 door hatch anyday!
