  • couldn't you just make it so the edge of each colour is a third colour so at 1:05 etc there'd be a line to show where the join is

  • I saw a gauge like this once. It was an air pressure gauge on an old pipe organ console, and it was marked "Patented 1888."

  • where can i buy this? im hooked?

  • I like this clock. Where can you buy it?

  • I understand but pause at 0:45.

    How is possible to know if it's 1:05, 2:10, 3:15, 4:20, 5:25, 6:30, 7:35, 8:40, 9:45, 10:50, 11:55 or 12:00. How do you know it?

  • This clock has that problem, but you could fix it by making it so that that the white colour between the hour-hand and minute-hand is always between them in a particular direction, and when the two roll over, the colour is reset to black (which this clock doesn't do, instead it changes the colour between the hour and minute hands to the other colour, painting over the old trail).

  • i want one

  • Great! Of course if you don't differentiate between the hour and minute hands, every single clock position can mean two times. Like at 0:52 and 2:06 in the video, the clock reads (I presume) 1:15 and 3:05, but looks the exact same. The only way to tell between the two would be to watch the clock for a few minutes and see which edge is the minute hand. This is fantastic, but it means that to read it, you have to mentally translate it to a normal clock. Which kind of undermines the project.

  • I'm going to make the assumption that this is a time lapse video. But yeah I agree, every 1:05 a day this would be odd to read because the clock would be either entirely white or black. Very cool, I want one.

  • i dont get how u tell the time lol
