On November 4, 2009, Angus passed away about 25 minutes after midnight. He was here at home, in his own bed, with his wife, oldest son Taran, daughter Franziska, son Nikolaus, and sister-in-law Hannah. After Angus' passing, we called Hospice, spent some time in prayer, then washed and dressed Angus before the people from the Funeral Home arrived. We will have a cremation, with a Memorial Service later this month in Tomales and the burial of his ashes in our plot there.

Angus had been ordained as a Minister in July 1976 and has served congregations in Oregon, Washington, and California. He was associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Vallejo, Interim Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Napa, and then Parish Associate at Two Rock Valley and Tomales Presbyterian Churches.

Angus loved his family and friends, his Lord, God's people, music and singing, art and anything creative, design and building projects, gardening, birding, sports. He was a generous and giving person, always desiring to embody in his own life the grace, compassion, love, and joy of Jesus.

Angus inspired my life in many ways, and will always be someone that I cherish. I know heaven is welcoming you with open arms, and look forward to seeing you again there. With love & respect, -Jason

I was on chemotherapy at the time of the video. It stopped working in October '08. New cancer showed on my spine. In December I began a stage III clinical trial for Abiraterone. This advanced prostate cancer drug helped many for about a year in stage I and II trials. My scans show no new bone growth and my PSA dropped.
Each day is a gift. God is gracious. And I give thanks for those who developed the drugs, for those who pray for me, for my wife, family, friends, and my support group.

How are you now, Angus?

vit E and seVit E is good for the strengthening of the artery walls as well as vit C. selenium and zinc is good for the prostate. You ejaculate a lot of selenium. Zinc but when you take zinc you should also take manganese and a very small amount of copper. NOW calcium has a pretty good combination of all three. Get a nutrition almanac and read it cover to cover. Some thing is not found in the index, but better if nervous system is working right. linium are good for the prostat

When your nervous system is not working properly all kinds of thing can go wrong. The beginnings of the problems can begin at birth. Go to an upper cervical specific doctor Upcspine. Keep your appointments it took you a while to get in the condition you are in it will take a while to get better. All the functions of the body are controlled by the nervous system even the prostate. or what ever else you can think of. No full spine chiropractors or diversified.
A soul touching story told by a very charming man that is also a minister, a man of God who has undoubtedly devoted his life serving the needs of others. If only he had been diagnosed earlier, before the symptoms showed, he could have been treated, and lived a long life. But because he was not, his days are numbered. May his story send a clear message to all of us about the importance of a regular PSA test. And when the time does come, may God take this wonderful man to his reward in Heaven.

Inevitably the time has come to post this message; sadly Angus passed around midnight on Nov. 3/4. The world is a poorer place without his caring, compassion and contributions. His oncologist at UCSF considered him a special patient - we at the Marin Support Group considered him a special person. This video will live on as a tribute to him.
The American Cancer Society amazingly does not support PSA screening; with it, Angus might be with us today.
May his memory be a gift to us all.
