Theodore Ziras-Lick of the Week #53: Harmonic Minor Scale Part3 (Solo-Etude)

to download the tab and the backing track click here

Lesson Description:
Here is a cool Etude that i made especially for you based in E Harmonic Minor Scale.
Memorize the whole etude and then practice it over the metronome and the backing tracks.
Be carefull with your picking hand. It is very important to be able to corporate both hands in order
to achieve this nice doubling with the harpsichord

This Etude is influenced from band like Stratovarius, Symphony X, Yngwie Malmsteen,
Dream Theater, Sonata Arctica etc
Always practice with a metronome. Increase the metronome only when you feel comfortable.
There is no point to play fast and sloppy. For any queries dont hesitate to ask me personally at

i avoid playing with big brands

  • @tziras Oh true? yeah I noticed the bigger brands don't really care about the lefty's which kinda sucks, I'll definately have to look into it, getting sick of playing my crappy epiphone lol

  • Respond to this video... his name is Harvey Citron, they arent really custom but im sure he could make one to your standards, hes a really nice guy.

  • @tjthegreat7 where are you from, if anywhere near Woodstock, there's a great custom guitar maker that would make you probably anything and they are beautiful.

  • I like your PC's wallpaper XD your lesson was good too.

  • @tziras Oh OK sweet dude! I really like the Latin/Egyptian sound you got going. Your very talented! I play the classical acoustic guitar and I like to play Spanish style stuff. Thank you for taking the time to reply and just remember that you have my respect jaja.

  • Harmonic Minor is the greatest of all keys

  • I enjoyed this harmonic minor series very much, especially the second video with the soloing. I have been learning the modes of it in A. I'm pretty much practicing the same way I did for the diatonic modes, primarily G major; remember it, play over and over, recognize the sound of each mode. I'm now writing phrases instead of just running up and down the scales. It's sounding much better.

  • @tziras it's just that a GOOD custom made guitar like yours tziras would cost from 1200-the sky is the limit in USD

  • this is inspired by the DEVIL!
