Thank you for posting this. Kapell was, IMO, the Master of this work. I'm not taking anything away from Horowitz, but, to me, Kapell's performances are richer, more in line with Rachmaninoff's "culminating point" philosophy of performance, and, I hate to say it, but even on an old poppy scratchy recording like this, I still can hear almost every single note shining through.
