I like very much this video and the accompanying music, indeed I wish you had kept the song to the end - but I can't but notice that many of the paintings are not very "orientalistic" because they depict Greeks (0:27, 0:35, 0:40, 0:45, 0:50 1:45 1:55... - I bet they all are of Jean Leone Genome) and although we are very close to the east, we are not included to the "orient". A very interesting video anyway - enjoyed it more than once - worth 5*!!!

During the XIX century some artits began a new style focus on these exotic places beyond the mediterranean sea. Maybe they are from Greece, or from Turkey... Egypt could be the origin, I don't know, I'm not an expert. Anyway I thank you your interest in these paintings.

The dutch band, Epica, has created this masterpiece of symphonic metal (or gothic metal, as you wish) call Fools of damnation. I really love it, so I've included it to my video. It seems to be orientalistic, doesn't it?
