nice to see some british heritage survive to the 21st century I'm pretty sure these units would keep on going another 50 odd years!

I see it has now been withdrawn from this service. Any chance we could have it in Cornwall? it would be ideal for some of our lightly used branch lines e.g. The Looe line. I can dream....

class 121 & 122 will be operating that day

Its fantastic to see our past still showen across the network, keeping it open for the younger generation to find out more about our past.

i think its fantastic too. childhood memories still preserved. just shows that with good maintenance a diesel engine can go on for decades!!

It's not withdrawn as I was on it on Saturday night. It does tend to go out ouf service quite often due to failure. At the mo it's running and sounding great.
