From what I've red about Clapton during his recording of this song - these could have been the originals lyrics - on the other hand he would have had to be doing something harder than heroin and alcohol to de-nunciate so efficient. Lub is lubbly, you got that right! Really good guitar work that kind of contrasts with the weak drums and 'bocals'. A little more work on the bocals and you'll have it.
