  • are all parts of the dandelion edible?

  • All parts are edible. The stems are pretty rank though.

  • dandelions are usually bitter

  • Yeah the leaves are usually pretty bad but I have eaten raw flower tops that were'nt too bad in the past.

  • great Ive been waiting for this will you be making another one. Awesome fire piston and that tea was bitter wasn't it

  • Yeah I will be making several more, I actually had a few segment I cut for time I will put in the next one. The teas was'nt really that bad, I was suprised without adding any honey.

  • Because the more options you have, the better set you'll be. What if you lost all those? You'd be screwed. He just emphasizes having options. And knowing how to use those options. That's all.

  • @TheGamerguy778 The definition of "edible" is "fit to be eaten" (m-w.com) so if it's not poisonous, toxic, or otherwise not-fit, it should be edible. The issue is whether you derive any nutritional or medicinal value from the eating of it. Is it worth your time to look for, harvest, prepare and eat an edible plant that gives you nothing in return? not even a pleasant flavor to your water....

  • I know this is a pretty old video, but I gotta say That tinder can is pretty ingenius. I've never seen that before but now plan to make one for my kit. Thanks Dave

  • OMG is that Dave from dual survival!

  • Hey I have a question. Whats the worse that would happen if you ate a plant that wasn't "edible" but it wasn't poisonous either?

  • Skin a rat take out the guts put steamed wild edibles and insects into the stomach. What should I call this meal... Stuffed Rat...

  • -Plant as he is groping it- "Pleaase! don't eat me don't eat me!"
