Ron Paul seems to be a weird guy in the American political establishment, but it's quite refreshing and unique to see that someone there (either if people agree with him or not) is consistent, honest, sincere and doesn't seem to have been bought by the lobbies at all. Maybe if I was American I'd vote for him. And it's also refreshing to see that he doesn't give a damn about how his "companions" are going to react to what he says.
