What's Wrong with the "Inner Critic"?

Psychology describes lots of stuff that make perfect sense. It's mostly observational. It's when they theorize how to connect all the dots that things start to go wrong. If you say you love Jesus, then please don't look for NATURALISTIC explanations for SPIRITUAL problems. That "Inner Critic" is trying to kill, steal and destroy - just like Jesus said would happen. And that "Inner Coach" knows stuff you couldn't possibly know and loves you more than you love yourself. Cause it's GOD talking. I dare you to prove me wrong.

Yeah, you're in there somewhere too, I'll give you that. And you can say dopey stuff to yourself - or encouraging things. But there's a difference.

@Cubix85 Yeah. But I don't think it's YOU at all. And if a person from work or a boyfriend or somebody was being as mean to you as this voice, you'd BEAT THE TAR OUT OF THEM! And that's what I'm encouraging. See them for what they are and deal with them viciously. And guess what, the more you resist, the more they will flee. Just like the Bible says.

@mikejenkins357 Hey Mike! Either way. You can ask it internally and the Lord will force them to answer. It can be a little weird doing it outloud at the checkout in Walmart. :-)

3; I really need to hear the Lord better and live the victory. i struggle so much with the flesh and lack of discapline, oh and i always give myself a hard time (self critical) which although i know is satan i still find it hard to deal with. Please can you pray for me, or ask your comunity to pray for me. I know i am not alone but i don't know anyone else who can help me with this stuff. Thanks a lot Doug for listening to the Lord and just doing what He wants. I'd love to give you a hug dude.

2; in sin. I have read lots of watchmn Nee's books as well as derek prince and "war on the saints" by jesse penne lewis. I Used to be schizophrenic till 23, now i'm med free but i really struggle to be balanced and hear Jesus regularly. my mind is often in termoil and i suffer alone. I never heard of the kind of discernment i hear you describe in your vids and books and it makes me see my dials were not that high when compared to everyone i know i thought they were maxed out.

1: Hi Doug, belss you dude for this Vid. many times watching your vids makes me cry for various reasons, mainly good though. I'm struggling with voices, as a beleiver. i had demons since at least 4 years of age and was saved at 21 and delivered of most stuff by 23. I'm nearly thirty and have had the problem of church not being able to help and being alone. my wife left me 2 years ago and i came a lot closer to the Lord. hey, doug i'm see more and more that if a person just obey's the Holy Spirit , they are truly saved and confirming their salvation is from Jesus Christ . no matter if they ever have read scriptures. i believe God is confirming to us when we felowship with one another , what the Holy Spirit has known from eternity. we as a body are being quickened together to see what was, is now, and will forever be. The Devil's smoke screen is out runned by eternal account of truth. We are wittnesses of this.
