Wet twists done on natural hair shows shrinkage. Thick twists done on natural hair shows shrinkage. Thinner parts of hair twisted will show length. Blow Dried natural hair will show length. These are all ways to manipulate natural hair in order to achieve different styling effects. The direction in which the hair is twisted will determine the direction it will lay (neatly). I will be reviewing Two strand twists, as they have become my favorite low manipulation style. This style is Spring/Summer ready, and I hope those of you who do Two strand twists will share your experience! Lots of Love, and thanks for watching beautiful!!

  • thanks for sharing i will be using two strands to start my locs and worried about how they will look until they lock yours look wonderful!! you helped give me courage to try! we ll see

  • @mzjazz712 Thanks Love!

  • I am so interested in doing this style and want to experiment a little before school starts.

I have a few questions...what's a good oil to use when twisting the hair? I've heard African oil or Jammin works...but I'm not sure since this is my first time. I was also wondering what ya meant by maintenancing it?

  • @nothingbutsuccess Hey! I actually looked up the African Hot 6 oil and decided to not use it. IDK how they can put toxins into oils but they do (it's usually in the "fragrance"). So, I use straight up oils (jojoba, grape seed, avocado). Those are the "lighter" oils. IF you find you need a heavier oil, olive oil and coconut oils are great. To do 2 strand twists u need a moisturizer and an oil to seal. Oils aren't moisturizing. If ur gonna twist the hair, try the kimmaytube leave in recipe. HTH

  • Aww man! Your little girl is like soooooooo beautiful . You are very blessed ;)

  • omg is that all your hair that is gorgeous i want that for the summer

  • How do you get the volume with your twists, 17 months transitioning and just tried twists, they look so flat.

  • Your hair looks so nice I'm def glade I watched this because my first set of twist I did did not go very well. Thank you

  • Love your twists and your cool, confident style. They look gorgeous, like liitle ringlets and curls, and the volume on them is amazing. Great tips and aideas I wear small twists too, like yours, and they're at my shoulders. I keep them in for a month a time, and I co-wash my hair with the twists in- no problems at all, easy to maintain. They're a long-term favourite protective style, and I have worn them for years........ So it's just lovely to see them on other people. Thanks for sharing!!!!
