If it wasn't for this site I would still be living in denial and relaxing/ straightening my hair anything to hide my true self. I have just got to the stage where I can tie my hair in a ponytail again, yippee, especially as the colder months are fast approaching I can wear my hair in a protective style and not worry about it. As a naturally curly-haired woman, I thank you. I've been straightening my curly hair (on and off) since I was 17. People always commented on how they loved my curly hair, but it took me a long while to appreciate it. Of course, we all want what we can't have - but i promise you, I've quit my straightener!
