I think it's great. As long as the parents were willing to have another child and give her all the love and attention they normally would and she'd save her brother's life, it's a win-win.

@Codename067 I believe in what you are saying, but keep in mind, people should be allowed to believe in what they want. you are agnostic(Amiright?), and there are many different beliefs than that. Sure, that woman Marie was wrong. Maybe this was just a push into having another baby, and she shouldve thought what would she'd do in that situation instead of being pretentious. But anyway, its wrong to criticize other people's religion. Not all people who believe in God thinks and acts like she did.

The lord gives me a greater freedom in life, for if i had to make a life or death choice, i know that i will die and go to my lord, i know that those who are, say homeless if christians and follow the bible, will be rewarded in heaven, i know that say the poor child above who died in the end, hoppefully if he was a christain, will have eternal life. @Dalek1230 - This is what I have learned about life. Believing in a "God" makes life that much more complicated. I believe in a higher power, but I don't know what or who it is, so I'm not gonna assume that it lives in the sky and call it "God" and have it restrict my life until I die. If that's what you want to do, it's all you! I'm out!

@Codename067 No! to pick and choose out of embroys is playing god, to choose who lives and dies, lets assume IVF didnt exist. they would have had a child normaly but say the child was not a perfect match then they would carry on having children until one was made that was a perfect match, this then makes the children born "worthless" say it was the tenth sibling that matched, the lives of the nine were simply there to service, and life becomes meaningless, that "common man " is playing god

@Dalek1230 Common man, let's not be ridiculous. The kid would've DIED eventually because his immune system was not working. Now, if you were the father, and you chose not to do the transplant, how could you ever live with yourself knowing that you COULD'VE saved your son's life, when you didn't?

The choice is clear.

If there was a 'God', he/she/it would not bring a child to the world with a weak immune system, or any disease for that matter to begin with.

Right? Damn right!
