I want a telescope like that wow

By adjusting your contrast and all your camera controls, your telescope is collimated perfectly, programs to also help develop your vids or shots are ready to go, the moon is not the same when you look at the shadowded crater line, because on a full moon, there are no craters, most of the dark areas are above the ground and the bright points are high points, so what is holding up the high points? Just thought i would share this! Keep up the good work! Peace, Wisdom and Knowledge

Great imagery dannyam1231, great vidio, well focused! I have a tasco 4 1/2 inch reflector, does a great job, but an 8" is on my investment list...As an amature astrophotographer, my videos and photos are focused more to the sun exposed moon, full moons are the best to take vids or shots because the moon then is completely exposed to light. I would love to see one of your vids to video a full moon, use a 8-10 mm eyepiece and comb the lunar surface, there is amazing stuff to see!! By adjusting ...

@dannyam1231 Sorry for the late reply, I wish I seen this before I made a purchas error. I had a big 10" Celestron Dob come along in mint condition, at a price o rediculous that you just couldnt say no. I have learned much since these posts of mine, and while the 10" was nice in the city as it helped me cut through the bad light poloution, I found myself never taking it out much at al but wanting to every night but it was just to darn heavy, and tough to move and setup. Very good advice!
WOW! I really want to get a C8 as my fist scope. I need one though that can aim itself to start me out though. Why is the image moving to the right when you appear to still the scope? Is this because of such a high magnification that were actually seeing the effects of the earts rotation? If so I am simply captured! I must have one, I'n my wildest dreams did I think I could get images like this for the priced a good used C8 seems to sell for. Damn I'm excited, always wanted to do this. IC

@IcechickenSr hey....id honestly go with a smaller telescope first......start with a 6" withSky Align Go To Technology...if it has the GPS system..all you have to do is point it at 3 stars and your set. I bought the 8" and its sooo bulky...just bought a 4" so I can take it out more. The 8" weighs a lot, takes up most of my car and takes and makes taking it out a hassle.

Hi dannyam... I'm right next door to you in Windsor :)
Nice shot, what kind of eye piece did you use?

hi, thnx...i didnt use an eyepiece; instead I used the Neximage CCD camera. It connects into the eyepiece barrel and then plugs into the laptop.
