Man I'm glad Vader said "no." That really clarifies things. ... cuz in the original, I was still just so confused about whether or not Vader agreed with the Emperor trying to kill his son, even after Vader THREW HIM DOWN A BOTTOMLESS PIT. Now I understand he did that because he disagreed with what the Emperor was doing. Whew, what a load off my mind.

so vader risks getting zapped by the Emperor just prove a point about how serious he is. vader's "decision" being made strong is an invalid argument his position was already strong enough to throw his master of 23 years down a hole without second thought. plus vader is smart and knows the Emperor could end him easily so he uses "stealth" to kill his master. not to mention it kills the moment with that needless line.
