UVA Streaking Time - Uptight

Our tour guide was very surprised when all of these people started screaming "STREAKING TIME", took off most of their clothes, and ran around crazily on The Lawn. He was even MORE surprised when these guys sang Uptight by Stevie Wonder to us!
Now my friends and I really want to go to UVA. :)

And by the way. Virginia has been getting talent. Groh's first four classes or so were all ranked withing the top 15-20 nationally. Players like Eugene Monroe, Michael Johnson, Ahmad Brooks, Phillip Brown, Mikell Simpson, Peter Lalich, Nick Jenkins, Chris Long were all highly touted. If you will notice though only four of the players listed made an impact. The others were underdeveloped or booted from the team. It isn't a lack of talent, it's a lack of coaching and common sense.

No. If the University takes it easy on the football players it has to take it easy on everyone else. I'm never going to agree with you. It is not impossible to win and hold high academic standards and character(I.E. USC, Michigan, Cal, etc.) Those schools have done it right for the most part. UVA doesn't have to sink to the level of VT to win. Look at the criminals that have been on that team that have been allowed to keep playing. Remember Ahmad Brooks, Phillip Brown, Vince Redd? GONE.

I bled orange and blue for four years, my wallet is still bleeding orange and blue. It's great that you are a fan, but the thing that you have to understand is that UVA is an academic institution, the second ranked public university in the nation and rest assured that every athlete that committs to UVA understands that. I was a student athlete and can promise you that the athletes are real students, there are no special arrangements made. I paid for my degree and I want it to keep it's value.

Yep, like VT's tradition of sub par academics, allowing any thug to attend their school as long as they can play football, etc........Dude, seriously get real....VT only became "good" at football once Frank Beamer decided to sell his soul to the department of corrections to keep his job. I for one would rather lose with dignity than sacrifice the value and prestige of my degree...
