"Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. "

  • @Fightingfire1 well i guess you could do both...the bible records of both. Jesus prayed to the Father, but also he said to the diciples "If you ask ME anything in my name, I WILL do it"

  • I want to ask a question: should I pray to the Father in Jesus' name or directly to Jesus? Please advise and I would appreciate if you could support your answer by the bible. Thanks in advance.

  • I don't get the part about The whip and killing the people of God. Why should he repent

  • Why was did Jesus say, Blessed are those who mourn? He answered it by saying because they would be comforted. Not any old comforting mind you. This is the comforting of him who is even named the Comforter. Only those who have been brought to their knees in the poverty of their sinful soul and to have experienced the mourning of it, will know the blessing of inheriting the kingdom of heaven and being comforted by the Comforter.

  • It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. Ecc 7:2-4

  • lets pray more each day to our LOrd and Savior Jesus, worship, praise him more each day! this is key and no matter what, we need to do this!

  • Sensitivity to sin - great test... I fall under it all the time!
