  • This by far is the most emotional game I have every played. It broke my heart in 5 seconds and throughout the game I've been fighting to repair it. It did an EXCELLENT job of it too. This music is the icing on the cake. This game was so great that it deserves it's own movie and series of more games. The love put into this game is not noticed well enough.

  • @bronkoghma If i try to explain the story of this game in the 500 characters that youtube allow, the world and time as we know would explode and create two alternate timelines, also, a dark hole will open below me and an Eldritch Abomination from outer space that devours space and time would kill me.

  • WHO CARES WHAT IT IS. A direct sequel or not, listen and watch and LUV IT or get stuck with a temporal knife to the bawlz! LONG MAY IT PLAY!!!! DEATH TO SOPA!!! (not soup =P)

  • This was still the best. the best world, the best characters, the best MUSIC! When I broke up with my first boyfriend (wayyy back in 9th grade, I wasn't even sad, I just play Chrono Cross)

maybe if I every have a week off I will play it again.

  • Greatest game ever, tied with FF7.

  • @Namikukatchi Nah. A sequel doesn't fit because of the time it's prequel was done, but because of how the prequel ended. Trigger and Cross had complete endings. None of their main storyline remained unconcluded, thus there's no need for a sequel. If any sequel would be to come, it'd be more than fair if it's an alternate story in the Chrono universe, but, as you say, hope the series is closed forever. Anything else will, most surely, ruin it.

  • @OmegaShinigami I don't know if if would have ruined it exactly, the way I see it, is if an RPG was made in the span of 1992-2000 there would be a good chance that a sequel would've have been okay. Its how Square is fairing off now that I would see that franchise being doomed. I'm hoping this game series is closed off forever.

  • @Namikukatchi Actually you're right. If you play the original SFC version, there's no reference to any sequel. However, Cross parts from Trigger universe, although it's another story. Not only through Kid, but through the fall of the Guardia Kingdom. Having played both games at their fullest, I have to say: A direct sequel would have ruined Trigger.

  • @OmegaShinigami I actually think it was the awful psx port of chrono trigger that linked the two games through Kid, as the child Lucca finds and takes care of

  • Guess what this is in the ps3 store for download for 20$. Relieve the memory's!

  • that they basically went and dropped the bridge on Chrono, Marle and Lucca.

  • @OmegaShinigami

I haven't actually played either game, I'm more a causal gamer that happens to like looking up lots of information on games. I don't what I would think of this one if I actually played since I heard the combat system is probably the biggest love or hate it mechanic Square ever came up with.

I've seen the stuff done in the DS remake that tries to tie both games together. It helps, though I don't know if I'll be able to get over the implications in and in Cross --
