I'd like to see how the disks are put in these machines. I'd also like to see what it looks like with out the disk there. I'm assuming it has a row of thin tines of graduating lengths that the burs under the holes of the disk catch on and sort of pluck the tines to make a sound.
Could you make a video of the machine showing how to place the disk in it?

I noticed that your tone arm on the phonograph part is all one piece. My 246 has a two piece tone arm and also has an adaptor so the reproducer can face out to play hill and dale records. Does yours have the part to play hill and dale records?

My Reginaphone came directly out of an old city library and has the original parts that Regina equipped for this model. According to period Regina literature for this model the one piece tonearm was standard equipment. Since mine is an early example (serial number 12) it is possible that later models included a different tonearm configuration with the vertical groove playing adapter. Thanks for stopping in.

Simply magnificent!
It brings back memories of my childhood. Throughout the 1950s, there was a shopping center that my family would visit on a regular basis. The center would bring out its Reginaphone Musicbox at Christmastime and place it near Santa and all us kids waiting in line to sit on his lap. I still remember the Reginaphone music box playing a gorgeous version of "Angels we have heard on high." Listening to this clip put joy in my heart a lump in my throat.
Thank you very much

Quite interesting that this music box doubles as a 78rpm player! And Strauss waltzes are such attractive pieces!

Thank you for your comment. Since I collect antique disc music boxes as well as early phonographs the Reginaphone is a perfect fit. Although I must confess that I rarely use the phonograph mechanism on it.
