This is my attempt to bring to light the absolute hypocrisy our nation exercised when it allows the basic rights of a portion of its citizens to be voted on by the general public. In my view, this is illegal and a violation of the Constitution of the United States.

So, since so many hold it in such little regard I have recrafted it to reflect a GLBTQ outlook.

I apologize in advance for its mistakes and for my extreme nervousness...this is not a perfect rendering ...I am after all...not a founding father and did not have weeks to write this.

I am, however, ready to take my personal stand for my rights as a citizen so if you wish to attack me...flame on.

  • No Granny...the point is that we as Gay people are citizens the same as you yet are not afforded the same rights you are. to see anything else in this statement other than that is to turn a willfull blind eye to it.

You're wrong. That's an outdated teaching from the 1900's that has been banned from the American Psychological Association. Educate yourself.

  • REPUBLICANS; TEA PARTY - LISTEN TO THIS DUDE: what right does government have to "legislate" an individual's lifestyle?

    NONE!

Step the hell off the "gay" issue! If you be Christian, than accept others as God created them - EQUAL!

Sure, we may have debates on "morality" as we consider it, but we OUGHT NOT USE FORCE OF GOVERNMENT TO FORCE OTHERS TO LIVE OUR WAY!

THAT IS WHAT WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST RIGHT NOW!!!

LEAVE INDIVIDUALS ALONE! WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO IMPOSE OUR WAY OF LIFE!

  • I am sick as hell of my side of the aisle being painted with this "far right" brush - WE NEED TO GET REAL AND BE CONSISTENT!

I want you to know, my friend and fellow defender of Liberty, that I am fighting for you! EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS CORRECT!

If we apply liberty honestly, we MUST apply them to ALL citizens.

I want to encourage you to keep fighting, and I pledge I will continue to fight, and a conservative republican, TO DEFEND YOUR RIGHTS, JUST THE SAME AS MY OWN!

    GOD BLESS YOU, BROTHER!

  • YEP, it did. I happen to be a Tea Partier, and seriously Conservative, and I say I DON'T WANT THE GOVERNMENT TELLING PRIVATE CITIZENS HOW TO DEFINE MARRIAGE!

I am a Christian, a Conservative, and a HUGE defender of LGBT rights, since your rights are the same as mine!

Government OUGHT NOT LEGISLATE "morality"; that is the duty of free people, debating freely.

HANDS OFF "opinions" of "correct" relationships, government.

Republicans and Tea Party - DEFEND THE RIGHTS OF THESE FOLKS, DAMMIT!

  • Let me see if my new account works...

  • I am still working my way thru watching your videos....you have done some awesome stuff! Thanks to the whole family there !!!

  • @brainwashedmasses LGB refers to lesbians, gays, and bisexuals, all things having to do with people loving someone of the same sex. T refers to transgendered people which isn't the same as sexual orientation but they face very similar types of discrimination. We need to stand TOGETHER against ignorance and gender-based discrimination in general. Gay marriage is also a trans issue too, since if marriage was allowed between any consenting adult then their gender identities wouldn't matter.

  • @WerewolfOfTheWater

Everytime gays decide to lump themselves into the alphabet soup of sexual outcasts, their issues will get misunderstood and basically...lost.

Gay people need to stop calling themselves "LGBTQ" because an individual cannot be all those things, and each of those groups have their own issues. Everytime a gay person does this, they're reinforcing the "slippery slope" argument. Gay marriage is a gay issue, not a "LGBTQ" issue, we need to fight our own battles, or we all lose.

  • small thought. - Are they a Majority? who says they are?
