This is the seminar at Bass Player Live 2009 given by Andrew Gouche. It's a ten minute excerpt of an hour presentation and a very informative look into the career of the acknowledged "King of Gospel Bass." The announcer is Chris Jisi

  • ANYBODY KNOW WHAT TYPE OF STRINGS HE PLAYS WITH. I RESTRUNG MY MTD WITH A PAIR OF BOOMERS, AND BOY DID MY BASS SOUND LIKE A BIG AZZ FRET BUZZ THIS SUNDAY..........

  • @nigel670202 I think he uses MTD Strings. It is not uncommon that any time you change string gauges you would have to adjust the truss rod (or have it done for you by a repairman if you do not understand the process).

  • I disliked it because they tracked the interview on top of the music.

  • @OzziePerch Fine go watch some other video then...

  • There are other videos of Andrew here on YouTube (look to the right) . Thank you for your comments but THIS video does exactly as I intended it to do. Thank you.

  • what asshole put the talking part in the music clip...dam you making me loose my Christianity man....

  • @stockinglover22 I think you have done that all by yourself. Have a nice day.

  • Dang it I meant donald hayes, looked over at something saw the name john and accidentally put that

  • I heard john hayes and chris colemann and i went yep this is gone be good

  • @OzziePerch I take it, you already know how and why to tune down. I watched young perfectos a while back grumble at Bill Dickens who was TEACHING how to keep getting gigs after getting started. Show up on time, be prepared and so forth. These "phenoms" only wanted to hear Bill play. SO SAD. This info is invaluable, yet the primas think playing well alone makes a career. LEARN so as not to CHOKE when you get the gig.

  • @nigel670202 basslabd is right. You can also replace the strings one by one.

This way the neck wont bend back. If you replace all strings at once the neck needs time to settle back.

    Thats the rattle.

  • @basslabd In your attempt to be funny your just unnecessarily rude

  • @basslabd ok, I'm clicking on another...

  • @OzziePerch I agree - put the talking after the clip and I will watch some other video - If I wanted to here talking I'd listen to fox news
