Ali Farka, Guitar master extraordinair... but what's with the crowd at this performance? His magnificent energy is being resisted by some kind of post-colonial snobbery that reponds to the music like wolves to brocolli.... the Africans are as afraid to move as the pitiful European who looks like he's contract malaria. Musically speaking, a lot of Bo Diddley in this piece.
