The 1990 "Great White Thing" pilot proves that Tommy exists independant of Angelica, the fact that the parents can physically interact with their kids shows that the other babies exist in real-time for the cartoon as well, & the fact that some episodes even omitt Angelica shows that the story's not just Angie's imagination,

Awww! this has to be one of the most touching episodes ever(I cried whenever they mentioned Chuckie's deceased mom)! But at least in the second movie Chuckie does get a new mommy. :,)
