it may appear the trombone rank is slack as by the standard of today...but back 70/80 years ago at the peak of pageantry and ceremonial the guards always drooped the trombones on parades. well done anyway.

Yes they seem to (the trombones) be pointing more to the ground nowadays. I though it was just me that noticed that.

trombones are appalling minesweeping(pointing at the ground) ..get them up you lazy gits..that would never of happened in my day..standards have slipped I suppose thats what happens when you get to many chippys in the band.In my day training at guards depot Drum Major Trussler would whack your elbows with his mace if you didnt have your trombone pointing straight forward or in the band you would soon get shouted at by BSM Micky Dabbs(solo trombone) if we performed like that ..it is a disgrace

I dont think he is the best trombone player in the world. or hed be a solo artist. maybe in your opinion he maybe the best or one of the best. :)
