Spirulina is the highest source of protein (up to 70%) and it's aborbed way better than meat. It contain 12 time the amount of ABSORBABLE proteins than beef.

@XNinjaSebX ha, heck yeah, denatured proteins, we are basically putting waste products into our bodies that then need to be excrete and some small percentage is used. old biased and ego can't get over simple facts. we digest things in very straight forward fashions, if that changes, they aren't absorbed properly, denatured proteins - toxins - waste - fat build up via that stressful process

@yonkersracing maybe, says everyone who follows that diet. look up durianriders. we are like 95-99% similar to a gorillas DNA, and all they really eat are greens, how big are they? DNA are the programs which run us, tells our bodies how it operates, what it outputs, how are they so big? proper carbohydrates are the key, and biophotons. fruit.

@insomnia00shock its amazing what happens when we are not always occupied. makes you question a little bit why there is such a push to have constant occupation. or why we have "occupations"

why compare humans with cows? Cows have 4 stomaches. Do u have 4? Babies gain weight fast, but do the gain muscle? I am not against her idea, but I am againsting the comparsions. Why compare audlts to young babies or cows? If u compare urself with lions, then u will be a heavy meat eater! U want to know how u should eat? read the bible!

@123456heho I'm just going by what I've read, like I said it really depends on your goals...40g is not enough protein in a day to effectively build muscle mass on a man

Where you at George.Where you at Carlos? All day.WAR DIAZ.
I'm a full supporter of the Gerson Therapy, but what I don't understand is with 20 pounds of vegetables/fruits a day juiced, Gerson patients only get 40g of protein. But for a normal person to "eat" vegetarian, they would be consuming much less vegetables/fruits, and would probably end up with less than 20g of protein? Is this correct?

@marklung I'm not an expert, but as far as I understand, there are many food items that the average Vegan/Vegetarian may have that aren't allowed on the Gerson Therapy's food regimen.
Thus, the average Vegetarian may get ample amount of protein on less juice, and without resorting to eating animal based foods

Also, don't the rules change a bit for weight lifters, who are constantly breaking down muscle tissues?
And Mother's milk may have the same ratio of protien as some vegetables, but do those veggies have complete ammino acids? Also, how much carrot juice would we have to consume to be equivelant to what babies consume in milk?
