Model airplanes and Helicopters come with battery chargers that usually need to be charged off a 12 vdc power supply. They are rather expensive, so the manufacturers do not include them with your models. So if you want to charge your heli and plane batteries in the house instead of in your car, try making your own supply, as I demonstrate here. Thanks to one of my Subscribers, Bryan, (bjudoka1) for putting the idea in my head.
I was thinking that you could also run a wire right out of your home pc and use it at the same time.
Thanks , you just saved me from buying an expensive power supply for my lipo charger. I can get unlimited broken computers at the transfer station(dump)

Hm, it should be enough to link the green wire to the case. No need for more than one wire pulled back :)

Conclusion ? you can put a automatic switch in place of manual switch. and where you wanna go with this video ? i dont understand nothing you done ther, cut a bunch of wires, 12VDC ? you could just left the Power suply intact and do your 12VDC. and what i mean with good charge ? faster ? or better ?

@obsequeiousphil try to load more than 17V, the Amps doesent matter, the law say more Amps better and faster charging and if the Volatage low or upper than the source you could burn the source or the PSU dies.

i modded a PSU but as soon as I add load (charger @ 1A) it shuts down the PSU, any clues? Its a 400W 17V @ 12VDC PSU
