@wiz337 sondheim is more versatile for sure, but jason robert is his own man and I love his stuff. You can like both of them without trumping one over the other. JRB can't do what Sondheim does and Sondheim has no reason to imitate JRB--each is his own man. Stupid absolutists...people like that piss me off.

@BboyFiZiX I agree that he doesn't sound that nice, but maybe he was just referring to the songs from L5Y? Because, I mean, the musical is based on his life, maybe he just meant he can get to a whole different emotional depth with these particular songs because they're so close to his heart? I'm not trying to compromise your statement, you could be right, I'm just offering another POV.

I don't give a crap if he's an asshole (which is probably true, no offense intended at BboyFiZiX). Lots of celebrities have bad reputations, but they're still ridiculously talented. The man's a genius. I just had a Jasongasm. On to Part 2.
