This is a shootout for the legendary 808 pedal versus VST 808 emulation.
The differences are subtle, headphones are preferred.

@kiraGuitarr depends on what kind of tone you after, I suppose you asking for metal guitar tone? TSE X50 is pretty good and it's free.
if you willing to pay, Amplitude has some nice metal amp modeling and Peavey Revalver III as well.
