Sorry about the mistake. Imagine i am saying New Year instead of New Years :D

It happens when it is not your native language, even you know how to say it, it always happens that you end up saying something wrong :)

Christmas - Kalėdos
Christmas - šventos Kalėdos = šv. Kalėdos
Merry Christmas (say this on the Christmas day):

Su šventomis Kalėdomis
Su šventom Kalėdom
Su šv. Kalėdom

Merry Christmas (say it when Christmas are still coming):

Su artėjančiomis šventomis Kalėdomis
Su artėjančiom šventom Kalėdom
Su artėjančiom šv. Kalėdom

New Year - Naujieji Metai
Happy New Year (say it when it's already January(midnight)):
Su Naujaisiais Metais

Happy New Year (say it when it's still december):
Su artėjančiais Naujaisiais Metais

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year -
Su artėjančiom šv. Kalėdom ir Naujaisiais Metais
Su artėjančiomis šventomis Kalėdomis ir Naujaisiais Metais

Other ways:
Add the word "Sveikinu" at the beginning it means congradulations
Sveikinu su artėjančiom šv. Kalėdom ir Naujaisiais Metais
Sveikinu su artėjančiomis šventomis Kalėdomis ir Naujaisiais Metais

Add the word "Jus(you - polite form)" after "Sveikinu"
Sveikinu Jus su artėjančiom šv. Kalėdom ir Naujaisiais Metais
Sveikinu Jus su artėjančiomis šventomis Kalėdomis ir Naujaisiais Metais

Add the word "tave(you)" after "Sveikinu"
Sveikinu tave su artėjančiom šv. Kalėdom ir Naujaisiais Metais
Sveikinu tave su artėjančiomis šventomis Kalėdomis ir Naujaisiais Metais

Add the word "visus(all)" after "Sveikinu"
Sveikinu visus su artėjančiom šv. Kalėdom ir Naujaisiais Metais
Sveikinu visus su artėjančiomis šventomis Kalėdomis ir Naujaisiais Metais

  • happy holidays kristina!

  • Oh thank you so much, your tutorials are extremely helpful. The Lithuanian language is beautiful and after meeting a Lithuanian friend I've decided to try to learn it. Also, don't worry, many English-as-a-first-language people say "Happy New Year's!" as a short form of 'New Year's Day' so that is perfectly fine! Thanks again!

  • Are you teacher some kind? Becouse you speak lithuanian better than me.

  • No problems! I am born and bred east midlands england (the PROPER english speakers) and I say "new years" !
