Not entertaining!!!!????!!!???

I remember spending hours and days with this video game. It was great!. Very fun, very addictive. But it's a simulation, and strategy game, more than an action game. More close to civilization, and sid meier's but with some action

I used to have this game back on my old 386 and loved it when I was a teenager in the mid '90s (I know, I'm showing my age here.) BTW, doing a career was not only fun, to see how long you'd last against the might of the Imperial Navy but the current events updates as the war progressed was an excellent primer on the chronology of the War in the Pacific. I was a history dork as a teenager so perhaps I'm showing my bias but I really liked this game and it was good in its day.

Urgh..Dont get me wrong this was a brilliant game but I remember the sounds being MUCH better on the Amiga version..

hehe ... i remember broke my leg in the 80's. My friend Ed loaned me his laptop and i played "Silence Service II" for hours, days, week and months. As a old submarine veteran i can say, one of the best u-boot sims ever. Keeping in mind ofc the early days they released this game.

I too played this for hours with my dad.. its was just awesome :) always had a Gato class sub and the best mission we ever had was in command of the USS COD.. on out way back to port totally out of torpedo's, nearly outta fuel.. we came across a large target .. a super battleship + escorts.. we surfaced and hit it with the deck gun a few times and dived.. we did some damage and she was very slow.. we did this about 3-4 times and finally sunk it took us about an hour to do it..
