  • I disagree Gwen, Part of at least 2 Songs by Leonard Cohen are written and sung in French

  • @GwenBeauregard I think every french-canadian people knows french as a mother tongue in some way, but he attended an english-speaking university in montreal and his french wasn't important in his poetry and singing work.. Thats why we didint have a chance to listen to him singing in french... Every Song of Cohen are in English..

  • He's born and bred in Montreal. Of course speaks, writes and

    understands French. It's just not his mother tongue, that's all.

    Most educated Montrealers are bilingual and even multilingual.
