Here's my cover of Jarre's "Magnetic Fields 2". Based on the live version played in 1988 at the Docklands concert. The actual audio file is used here as background music.

Some parts have been added while playing, though. It's not a full "carbon copy".

Enjoy it ;)

Kind regards,

Used gear : Roland D-50, Akai Miniak
All sounds programmed by me

  • Bl**dy h*ll! You even got the Oscar lead sound out of the D50! Amazing stuff!

  • @TeeJF Thanks :) I'll make a version with a much better sound one day.

My gear changed since this video (no more Miniak, but AN1x + Ultranova added), but D-50 is still there (and always be).

  • Did you program the lead you are using on the D50 or is it one of the generic Roland patches?

  • @TeeJF Programmed by me :) All sounds are, unless stated.

  • How odd, I love JMJ and I was thinking of buying a D50 and a R3

  • @MrKnnknn wise choice ;)

Since the recording of this video, I sold the Miniak to get a Yamaha AN1x (older, but far better).

    R3 is a great synth too !
