Lara is an 11 yr old Samoyed and was raised in the house by Tommy, a black cat that came with the house and we took care of. I'm not sure if this nose cleaning technique is innate to the Samoyed breed or Lara picked this up from Tommy.

  • might actually be allergies. My dog has allergies for indoor dust and such and my vet told me that if dogs have allergies, licking their legs often might be a symptom of allergies. Just thought I should tell you, cause I know a few who has checked their dog for allergies after what I told them what my vet told me and the tests came back positiv of allergies.

  • My sam does this too and there is no cat involved. I think it's just innate with them. Mine also uses his water bowl as a foot bath sometimes to clean his feet after being outdoors.
