Not exactly... your description reminds me of a cheezy, Z-category "art-faking" Hollywoood production...this is nowhere near European thinking...sorry. Watch it - in the language you understand - and you'll see.

What's it about? Don't tell me. Great-great grandmother Catherine Deneuve, after losing her family in an air crash, seduces a gay, crippled, homeless 17-year-old who helps her find the rest of her family who are not dead, but have actually run away to join a crippled, gay circus. They all end up happily singing a song by Beth Gibbons.
Such a great film!

Pourquoi? Sean Penn l'a-t-il critiqué?

ce film est un chef doeuvre et Sean Penn, décidément, un idiot!

Your English is better than many school leavers in Britain, and far better than my French!

You are so wrong, Truocmle, so wrong that it's ridiculous but no matter.
I had an excellent time watching this movie: fun as hell, heavy and light.
My english level doesn't allow me to speak about it as i should, but i can't help to advise you to watch it.
