Badia Masbani retiried to Chtoura Lebanon and bought a farm in 1952. She attached a store that sold cheeses and labneh from her farm, and students from lebanon would come and visit her store. She died in 1973. Today her store still stands on the main highway between beirut and damascus in chtoura, and the sign bears her name, along with someone form the rayyes family that I believe she married to. The store has pictures of her along with fairouz, farid alatrach and other famous artists.

@irmar , i am talking about Tahia carioca , ( who is probably dancing behind Badia masabni in this clip ) of cours badia was not born in 1915 .........just like you said she was born in 1893 ......but tahia carioca was 19 years old in this clip .

Please think! This was made in 1934. If she was indeed born in 1915, that would make her 19 years old. Does her face remind you of a 19-year old? And would she be the owner/manager/chief dancer of her own night club, forming other dancers, by 19?

Actually she was born in 1893, so she was 41 in this clip.
