The major way in which people travel from place to place in Ghana is on a minivan bus called 'Tro-Tro'. The quality and condition of the Tro-Tro is hit or miss and can range from the floors barely being in tact to an air conditioned bus with plush seating. Most Tro-Tro rides cost less than a cedi (the equivalent to 1 dollar, more for intercity travel) and can service trips to every city and every moderate sized village or town. Of course the smoothness of ride is dependent on the road which is traveled upon!
I'm going next year. I'm so excited and I can't wait. Especially to eat the tasty food I've heard so much about.

Why worry about seatbelts when most of the time you'll be so stuck in between people that it's impossible to move? ;)
for a vilage it's quite a bumpy road though!
